Privacy Policy for 5G Speed Test
Application: 5G Speed Test (Package: com.one.speedtest)
Developer & Publisher: Mobile One
Effective Date: September 23, 2026
Summary:
5G Speed Test is built with privacy as a foundational principle. We do not collect or store personal identities, names, phone numbers, contact books, files, photos, or sensitive personal data. Telemetry metrics are calculated on-device in real-time strictly to measure network performance.
1. Information We Process:
To perform accurate, real-time internet speed assessments and network quality diagnostics, the App processes only non-personally identifiable diagnostic information:
- Network Telemetry: Real-time download throughput, upload throughput, ping latency, packet jitter, and stability variance.
- Connection Characteristics: Active network type (e.g., Wi-Fi, 5G, 4G LTE) and public IP-derived location used dynamically to connect to the closest test server.
- Hardware Model: Device manufacturer and Android OS version to calibrate speed gauge rendering.
2. Purpose of Processing:
All processed telemetry is used strictly to:
- Execute active download, upload, and latency speed tests.
- Automatically locate and connect to the lowest-latency edge server.
- Provide local streaming readiness and online gaming latency diagnostics.
We do not sell, rent, monetize, or broker your telemetry or device information to any third parties or data brokers.
3. Android Permissions Requested:
The application only requests standard network-related permissions:
- android.permission.INTERNET: Required to send and receive benchmark measurement packets.
- android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to identify whether the device is currently online or offline.
- android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Required to detect Wi-Fi connection parameters.
No high-risk or invasive runtime permissions (such as GPS location, storage files, contacts, camera, or microphone) are ever requested or accessed.
4. Third-Party Measurement Endpoints:
Network benchmark requests are transmitted over secure, encrypted TLS/HTTPS connections to global edge CDN measurement servers (e.g., Cloudflare edge points). These servers receive transient dummy payload packets strictly to calculate throughput and ping latency. No personal data is stored on these nodes.
5. Data Retention & Device Privacy:
Your speed test results are stored strictly locally on your own device within an isolated application database. We do not operate remote servers tracking your individual test sessions or link results to your identity.
6. Children's Online Privacy Protection:
The application does not collect personally identifiable information and does not knowingly target or collect data from children under the age of 13.
