This may sound amusing, but studies show that your ringtone explains a lot about your personality. Yes, its true, just like your favorite color, book, movie or food, your choice of ringtones too reflect your character and personality. A chart compiled by Buzzle lists different ringtone categories and the personality associated with each ringtone.

Download ringtones that project a cool personality and image. Keep in mind that you can be judged by the ringtone you set. Choose a ringtone that is new and popular and make sure that it is not boring, old-fashioned or irritating.

When I plug my old phone into my computer and go to This PC\KYOCERA\Internal storage\media\audio\ringtones like I have been told to go to for the default ringtones, the only ones that show up are a couple of custom ringtones I had put on previously. I want to extract the default ringtones like AT&T Play On and notification sounds like Syrma, so that I can put them on my new phone.

I'm testing out Zoom phone service, and in the setup process, I'd like to add custom .wav files to the options that users can select from for their ringtone. I uploaded a .wav file via the vvx450's web interface, but once I add the url to the recommended Zoom provisioning server, it gets wiped from the phone. Is there a simple way to create a template that lets me include ringtones for users?

Solved after some digging.

A user on the Poly forums showed how to format .wav files to work on Poly VVX phones: -SIP-Phones/Polycom-VVX300-and-custom-ringtones/m-p/83002/highligh...

Building the provision template wasn't too hard once I found the corresponding parameter in the Poly UC documentation: -ag-6-0-0/page/r-ucs-ag-sampled-audio-file-parameters.html

After that, it was just a matter of uploading my .wav file to a publicly accessible url, one caveat being that I had to make sure the .wav file name in the url had no special characters, because it messed up the Poly phone. On Zoom's side, the provision template looks like this:

saf.2 = " "

Give end users an option within the desktop and mobile application to disable zoom phone ringtone and just an application notification. While utilizing other meeting platforms for clients and receiving a Zoom Phone call, the ringtone will always play and interrupt the audio of the other meeting.

this fix you posted only set the ringtone as a default ringtone as in for what ever you have for when your phone rings but it will not be listed in you default list of ringtones. still looking for way to move ringtones from SD card to default list and have them avaible at all times

Jamba (formerly Jamba!) is a German company that created and marketed ringtones for mobile phones. It operated under the name Jamster in China, Armenia, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Oman, France, Kuwait, Turkey, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Austria, Brazil, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States, Sweden, Iraq, Poland, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

VeriSign was a successful internet security company that had a series of product lines that connected mobile network companies' text message networks together securely, processing about 3 billion per day in 2004. VeriSign CEO Stratton Sclavos recognised that with VoIP products developing, the revenues could decrease, and so he hired Vernon Irvin as Executive Vice President and General Manager of VeriSign's Communications Services division to solve the problem. Irvin saw good but technical and expensive products, but saw the volumes of exchange over the system as the solution.[2]

Later developments included a collaboration with L'Oral encouraging users to send in photos to find 'America's next supermodel' and promoting VeriSign Back-Up as a mechanism to re-download music tracks a customer had previously bought to a different mobile phone, for example if the previous phone was stolen, broken or lost.

On 12 September 2006 News Corporation announced it would pay approximately $188 million for 51% shares in Jamba! and would combine it with Fox Mobile Entertainment assets,[4] such as Mobizzo, with Lucy Hood, formerly President of Fox Mobile Entertainment, becoming CEO of the joint venture.[5] On 23 October 2006 it was announced that Vernon Irvin would join XM Satellite Radio as Chief Marketing Officer.[6] In late December 2010, Jesta Group acquired Fox Mobile Group from News Corp. Jesta Group renamed the mobile services company to Jesta Digital.[7]

Heather, from what I have read in android central forum this would take 3rd party file manager to find this (directory is /system/media/audio/ringtones) and they state the directory is read only. If you are wanting to change your ring tone or would like to add new tones check the attached links. Good luck.

Hello..Did you ever find out how to set different ringtones for 2 digital voice phones please? I have the same problem with my 2 new BT Digital Voice Essential phones. As you said in your post every time I change the ringtone on one phone the other phone changes as well to the same ringtone so I can only have ONE ringtone for both phones!

Now if you want all SmartThings notifications to play this file, select it as the application notification. I just wanted the SMS messages from SmartThings that are sent from alarm conditions to trigger the file. To do this I added a contact and included the phone number from the SMS messages sent by SmartThings as the mobile number. Then you can add a field to the contact to specify a custom message notification sound and select the music file you added to the Notifications folder. Give the contact a name and save it. SMS messages from SmartThings will appear with the contact name and trigger the custom notification. Make sure the file plays long enough to wake you up, though, since it will only play through once. This eliminates the need to devote memory to IF an/or Tasker. Your notifications volume will need to be set fairly loud, so other short notifications might hinder your sleep.

For ringtones, you need files in mp3. You can also use m4r format. You can actually take any iTunes files in m4a format and simply rename the extension from m4a to m4r and you are good to go. You can also use iTunes to create a shorter version by adjusting the start and end of the song and then converting the file to AAC format (which creates the m4a file).

Research on the effects of Mobile phone radio frequency emissions on biological systems has been focused on noise and vibrations as auditory stressors. This study investigated the potential effects of exposure to mobile phone electromagnetic field radiation, ringtone and vibration on anxiety-like behaviour and oxidative stress biomarkers in albino wistar rats. Twenty five male wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups of 5 animals each: group I: exposed to mobile phone in switched off mode (control), group II: exposed to mobile phone in silent mode, group III: exposed to mobile phone in vibration mode, group IV: exposed to mobile phone in ringtone mode, group V: exposed to mobile phone in vibration and ringtone mode. The animals in group II to V were exposed to 10 min call (30 missed calls for 20 s each) per day for 4 weeks. Neurobehavioural studies for assessing anxiety were carried out 24 h after the last exposure and the animals were sacrificed. Brain samples were collected for biochemical evaluation immediately. Results obtained showed a significant decrease (P < 0.05) in open arm duration in all the experimental groups when compared to the control. A significant decrease (P < 0.05) was also observed in catalase activity in group IV and V when compared to the control. In conclusion, the results of the present study indicates that 4 weeks exposure to electromagnetic radiation, vibration, ringtone or both produced a significant effect on anxiety-like behavior and oxidative stress in young wistar rats.

Hi there we have Ring Central Phones installed and have just had Kuando Busylights attached. Is there anyway that we can hear the ringtones that we have downloaded into the Ring Central Phone App play through the Kuando or are we stuck with the limited choice on the busylight? 0852c4b9a8
