Hello there...

My name is Moamen Elmassry (Some know me as Mo), I am an New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research (NJCCR) Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Donia lab at the Department of Molecular Biology, Princeton University. My research is focused on the role of gut microbiome-derived small molecules in different diseases, e.g., Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). I received my Ph.D. from Texas Tech University. My dissertation work was focused on the pathogenesis of Pseudomonas aeruginosa during sepsis in trauma patients. I enjoy working with people, so let me know if you are interested in collaboration or if you have questions. Although I was trained as a pharmacist, then a microbiologist, I enjoy my hybrid life of computational and wet lab work.
