Chrome extension by moalduhun. Last updated: 3 September 2026.
This extension collects nothing. There is no account, no tracking, and no analytics. It never sends anything to any server, and it works with no internet connection.
What is stored, and where
The extension saves a few things so it can work between clicks. All of it is saved on your own computer using Chrome storage. None of it leaves your device, and I cannot see any of it.
Whether a timer or stopwatch is running, and when it started
The last time you entered into the timer
The cities you added to the world clock
Your theme choice, whether the local time is shown on the icon, and whether the sound is muted
You can delete all of it at any time by removing the extension from Chrome.
What is not collected
Personal information. There is no account and no sign-in.
Browsing history. The extension has no permission to read web pages and adds no scripts to them.
Location. No GPS and no IP lookup.
Analytics. No usage statistics of any kind are recorded.
Advertising. There are no ads and no advertising networks.
About your time zone
The world clock needs to know your time zone to show how many hours a city is ahead of or behind you. It reads the time zone your browser is already set to, using a standard JavaScript function. This happens inside your browser. It is not GPS, it is not looked up over the internet, and it is never stored or sent anywhere.
Network requests
The extension makes none. All code, sounds, and icons are inside the package. Time zone calculations use data that is already built into your browser.
Sharing and selling
No data is collected, so there is nothing to share, sell, or transfer. No data is given to third parties, used for anything unrelated to the extension's purpose, or used for creditworthiness or lending.
Permissions and why they are needed
storage — remember your timer, cities, and settings on your device
alarms — finish the timer at the right moment, even when Chrome puts the extension to sleep
notifications — tell you when the time is up
offscreen — play the chime, because a Manifest V3 extension has no other way to play a sound
The extension asks for no host permissions, so it cannot access any website.
Children
The extension is safe for all ages. Since no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children either.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a future version ever collected data, that would be described here clearly before the change is released.
