About Me

I am a fourth-year PhD candidate in Agricultural Economics at Purdue University. After growing up on a seventh-generation family seed farm in Northern Illinois, I studied Agribusiness Management at Michigan State University with plans to rejoin the family business. At MSU, I enjoyed participating in undergraduate research, and chose to go on for an MS in Agricultural Economics at Purdue. I found a passion for pursuing research which helps answer questions for the farming community I grew up in, and decided to pursue my PhD.

Today, my research focuses on agricultural finance- particularly ag credit and the FSA guaranteed loan programs. I enjoy working on projects with extension applications so that I can take insights back to the farm.

I currently serve as the Past-Chair for the Graduate Student Section of AAEA, and Academic Chair for the Purdue AGEC Graduate Student Organization.

In the fall, I will join the Department of Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University as an Assistant Professor.
