What is a MNECO Nest?

MNECO Nests are a local community that is inclusive of all educators and advocates with an interest in nature-based education. 

MNECO Nests believe that nature play is a right for all children and it is a fundamental human childhood experience.  Therefore, rather than establishing a competitive, scarcity-based vibe around nature-based programs, we encourage MNECO Nests to support and encourage each other.  

• Help each other hatch new programs in new neighborhoods and communities.  

• Weave nature play into existing programs, and meet practitioners where they are at.  

• Share resources and lift each other up.  

• Educate each other about risk management and strategies for safe MN nature-based programming.  In nature-based early childhood education, we all do better when we all do better.
