At Lunara, your privacy isn’t just a feature; it is our core principle. We believe that your health data is deeply personal and should remain under your absolute control. This Privacy Policy explains how Lunara handles your information.
Lunara is built to function entirely without a backend server.
No Sign-up: You do not need an account to use the app.
No Tracking: We do not use any third-party tracking tools, analytics, or "telemetry" to monitor your behavior.
No Emails: Since we don't collect your email address, you will never receive marketing or spam from us.
Lunara facilitates the tracking of your cycle, symptoms, and predictions. All data you enter into Lunara stays on your physical device.
Local Storage: Your data is stored in the app’s internal database on your phone.
Manual Backups: If you use the "Data Export" feature, the app generates a file. You are responsible for the security of this file and where you choose to store or move it (e.g., your personal cloud storage or another device).
Deletion: If you delete the Lunara app, all data associated with it is permanently removed from your device. We cannot recover this data for you because we never had access to it.
Lunara provides customizable period reminders. These are local notifications triggered by your device's operating system. They do not require an internet connection and do not involve any external servers.
While Lunara itself does not track you, please be aware that:
App Stores: Platforms like the Google Play Store or Apple App Store may collect basic device information or "crash reports" if you have opted into sharing those with developers through your OS settings.
Community Contributions: Lunara is available in 14 languages thanks to our community. These contributions are for the app's interface and do not involve the collection of user data.
Since we do not collect, store, or share any personal data, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. However, our core philosophy—that your data is yours and stays on your device—will not change. Any updates will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
