Frequently Asked Questions

Can I take band and athletics?

Yes! Some students choose to take 2 years of marching band to fulfill their PE credit. This also frees up an elective.

Are honors courses weighted?

Yes. You will receive 5 points on your end-of-year average in honors courses. 

What's the difference between IPC and biology?

        IPC stands for Integrated Physics and Chemistry. This is what most students take. Freshmen biology is an honors course. There will be an EOC (STAAR) test at the end of the year if you take biology. There is no EOC associated with IPC.

What if I am taking a study lab?

         Study lab will take up an elective space. You may defer your fine art or history and take them during your Sophomore year.
