Map Minded is a geography game. There is no account, no sign-in, and nothing to fill in about yourself.
Nothing. Map Minded does not collect, store or share personal information. There is no advertising, no tracking, no analytics, and no third-party software of any kind inside the app.
Game progress, scores, puzzle answers, travel journal entries, custom landmarks and your settings are saved on your device using the ordinary storage iOS gives to apps. They stay there. None of it reaches me, and I have no way to see it. Deleting the app deletes it.
If your iPad is set to back itself up to iCloud or to a computer, that backup is between you and Apple. I am not part of it.
Country pages have an Update button that asks the World Bank's public data service for the latest published population figures. That is the only network request the app makes. It happens only when you press that button, never on its own, and it sends nothing about you — it asks for the same figures for every country, whoever is asking.
Map Minded does not ask for, access or collect your device's location, and never requests permission to. Coordinates, distances and the places you pin are about the map inside the game, not about where you are.
If you use the Send Feedback button, or email the address above, your message arrives in my ordinary email inbox along with the address you sent it from. I use it to reply to you and to fix whatever you told me about. It is not added to any mailing list and it is not passed to anyone.
A few screens can export what you have made — your own landmarks, for instance — through the iPad's standard share sheet. Where that goes is entirely your choice. The app sends nothing anywhere by itself.
There is nothing here to collect from anyone, of any age. The app has no chat, no accounts, no way for players to see one another, and no links out of it except to my email address and to the app's own page on the App Store.
The app may occasionally ask, through Apple's standard rating prompt, whether you would like to rate it. Apple handles that entirely, and I never learn who was asked or what they said.
If the app's features or its handling of information change, this page changes with them and the date at the top moves.
