  • 12/2016: Prof. Chehroudi and Prof. Ashuri received a faculty research infrastructure grant from NASA ASGC to develop a novel and low cost Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique for flow visualization.
  • 10/2016: Prof. Ashuri received a research grant from Office of Research, Arkansas Tech University to develop a robust control algorithm for online optimization of energy systems under external disturbance with guaranteed convergence.
  • 10/2016: Prof. Ashuri received a faculty research infrastructure grant from NASA ASGC for a project on a novel discrete interpolation approach for high fluctuating stochastic field variables.
  • 10/2016: Prof. Ashuri gave a talk at the 5th Annual Renewable Energy Conference in Jonesboro, AR, USA about "Real–time Optimization of Wind Turbine Energy Capture".
  • 9/2016: Prof. Khan and Prof. Ashuri received a research grant from Office of Research, Arkansas Tech University to develop an acoustic based structural health monitoring approach to detect cracks in polyvinyl chloride pipes.
  • 9/2016: Eduardo Vasquez and Levi Otts joined the lab as undergraduate researchers.
  • 9/2016: Our paper title "Yaw-Misalignment and its Impact on Wind Turbine Loads and Wind Farm Power Output" is accepted for publication in the Journal of Physics, Con. Series.
  • 8/2016: Our paper titled "Integrated Layout and Support Structure Optimization for Offshore Wind Farm Design" is accepted for publication in the Journal of Physics, Con. Series.
