Bones and All -

What a shocker... but I rewatched this with Shanne and it never fails to amaze me!!!!  I love watching this movie with people who have never seen it, makes me see it through their eyes. We also lowkey never finished it... but his reaction to the end awaits! I'm excited!

Slam Dunk: The Movie 

I randomly watched this with my dad one sunday LMAO and it was the most invested i had ever been in a basketball game. The thing is, I dont even think basketball is boring... i was just locked into this movie.

Books/Short Stories/Poems: 

Heaven - Mieko Kawakami 

Insanely beautiful book but what else can be expected from Mieko Kawakami? Another devastating read... I highly recommend this book if you want a quick and easy read that's also poetic and has a lot of character depth! I'm hoping to start another Kawakami book,Breasts and Eggs, with Mia once it comes in! I am so exciteddddd!!! I'm very happy she agreed to reading it together! Lets all wish her luck at RISD and thank her for being so patient until my book comes in :) 

Mowing - Ada Limón

The last sentence is so so beautiful: 

"I'm thinking about people and trees and how I wish I could be silent more, be more tree than anything else, less clumsy and loud, less crow, more cool white pine, and how it's hard not to always want something else, not just to let the savage grass grow." 

HOW IT'S HARD NOT TO ALWAYS WANT SOMETHING ELSE??? NOT JUST TO LET THE SAVAGE GRASS GROW??? I am so sick. Another Tyler P mention cause he sent this one to me. I hate and love you Tyler, you always seem to share the perfect things at the perfect time, I am so sick. That is all. 

Story - Lydia Davis

Sometimes I forget the power of a simple story with barely any resolution to the initial problem. I think Lydia Davis has a way of making someone's everyday worth writing about. IDK if that makes sense but I say that because this story feels like such a classic "love" story that is nearing its end. Yet, it feels so meaningful and raw despite how normal it is. IDK IDK I hope you're picking up what I'm putting down. 

That's it for my media and quests! The media I took in this month especially helped me with stepping back. I'm trying to learn how not to rush and  to sit on things more. This is very important because I'm staying in the city now and I don't have the nature of Western Mass to remind me to slow down. Having these medias to focus on and take inspiration from has been so much fun, I feel like i'm learning how to live! Not to be dramatic LMAO -- but it is cool how things like music and books can make you  feel this way, it's kinda silly! Anywayyyyy, SEE U NEXT MONTH! M. MAGPOOPIA IS OUTTTTTTTT
