Things That Make Us Feel Alone

Faced with this broad topic, I focused my pieces on the types of situations that cause us to feel alone: manipulation, isolation, and solitude.

Manipulation - this painting portrays one person controlling another in the form of a marionette, revealing complete helplessness and hopelessness of the situation.

Isolation - I staged my photograph in a crowded mall, capturing the feeling of isolation, despite being surrounded by crowds of people.

Solitude - the dull colors in this oil painting are used to convey the strongest feelings of solitude.
