As robotics continues to evolve, the integration of multimedia technologies presents an exciting frontier with vast opportunities for innovation and advancement. This special session on "Multimedia Research in Robotics" aims to provide a platform for researchers to converge and explore the latest developments, challenges, and applications at the intersection of multimedia and robotics. In this session, we will delve into various aspects of multimedia research that are reshaping the landscape of robotics. Topics of interest include multimodal perception and sensing, human-robot interaction leveraging multimedia interfaces, human-robot dialogue system, vision-based navigation and mapping, vision-language models for robotics, understanding and prediction of behavior, emotion estimation and expression, and the integration of multimedia technologies for providing robotic assistance in various fields.

Limited to 12 content pages, including all figures, tables, and appendices, in the Springer LNCS style. Additional 2 pages containing only cited references are allowed. (As same as the main conference of MMM2025.)
