Specialized experience working with children and adolescents to develop the following skills:
- Developing/Refining oral motor-speech skills using PROMPT Approach and Technique
- Using Alternative and Augmentative Communication Systems (AAC)/Devices
- sign language including American-Sign Language, Sign-Supported Speech, Signed English, etc.
- dynamic display devices (Proloquo2go, TouchChat, LAMP Words for Life, etc.)
- static Display Devices (Go Talk, QuickTalker, Communication Builder, etc.)
- communication Boards (laminated core vocabulary boards)
- Total Communication Approach (A mixture of the above-mentioned along with verbal and/or gestural speech)
- written language skills
- phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, phonics skills, reading fluency, etc.
- reading comprehension
- development of writing skills
- auditory training skills
- for children/adults with deafness or hard of hearing who use hearing aids or cochlear implants
- to develop auditory comprehension in addition to the person's preferred mode of communication (sign language, ASL, verbal language, total communication, etc.
