This lab is founded and directed by Dr. Rashida Hasan, at the Department of Computer Science, at California State University, Northridge. The focus of the MLR lab is to provide effective solutions for knowledge discovery from massive data.

How do we harness the mechanics of intelligence to improve the world around us? Machine learning sheds light on the answer by transforming data into a mathematical blueprint to automate complex, high-value cognitive processes. It has been estimated that the amount of data generating daily will be 463 exabytes by 2025. Nevertheless, are all this data fit enough to be used by machine learning models?  With the advent of technology, the lack of data is no longer a problem but the lack of effective and efficient methods to prepare, learn, and act on the massive data has become a crucial problem. Accordingly, the researchers in this lab are interested in several aspects of machine learning and deep learning to unravel meaningful informationfrom the data.
