About Me
I'm a maths PhD Student (number theory, specifically) at the University of Sheffield. My supervisor is Tobias Berger. Before that, I was an undergraduate at the University of Bristol, where I did an integrated master's in maths.
I'm interested in the algebraic and algebro-geometric aspects of number theory, including Galois representations, automorphic forms, étale fundamental groups, and algebraic K-theory.
My master's project was supervised by Ross Paterson, and was on local fields and local class field theory, more specifically on the approach via Galois cohomology.
Outside of maths, I enjoy playing guitar and learning languages (currently Gaeilge, ach níl ach cúpla focail agam).
I enjoy typing up notes in LaTeX when learning about subjects. Occasionally I go a bit overboard and write way too much in my notes. If I ever do this again, I'll include some links here.
Disclaimer: In my notes I rarely use inline references. This is not in an attempt to claim the work as my own, but rather because the notes are written mostly for myself. I do, however, provide a list of sources used in compiling the notes.
