NARRATIVE REPORT
On April 28, 2023, the Grade 12 students of Mataasnakahoy Senior High School gathered for a recollection from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The facilitators are Jejireh Ocampo, Jaime Tumbaga Jr., Richmond Briones, Christopher Sombilon, Lourdaine Kaye Ocampo, Maria Lourdes Balita Marife Sarmiento, and Ana Margarita Tolentino. The event was a success as it provided the students with an opportunity to reflect on and deepen their relationship with God.
The theme of the recollection was "Success," and the Biblical verse that guided the event was Joshua 1:8, which says, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
The recollection started with a short prayer, followed by introducing themselves. The students were given time to meditate and reflect. Soft music was played in the background, and the students were encouraged to read the Bible and reflect on its teachings. This part of the event provided a peaceful and reflective atmosphere for the students to connect with God.
In the last part, the speaker emphasized the importance of the student’s spiritual growth and reminded them that success should not be measured solely by material possessions or achievements. He encouraged the students to keep God at the center of their lives and to continue seeking Him in all their endeavors.
