Helping Students Explore Critical Issues in Technology

Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools Conference, April 2019

In addition to needing instruction on technology and information skills, students also need opportunities to critically engage with emerging issues in our digital society. We recently launched a course that integrates technology and library instruction, with a larger goal of empowering students to make informed choices and advocate for change. Topics include big data, filter bubbles, and social justice issues. Learn about this course and leave with some practical ideas to add a critical lens to your work.
