Outstanding Dissertation Award, New York University [2021]

My PhD dissertation entitled "Cyber-Physical Dynamic Decision Mechanisms for Large Scale Internet of Things Systems & Networks" was selected to be the winner in the "Technology and Applied Science" category for the university wide outstanding dissertation award from NYU. More details here.

Dante Youla Award, Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, NYU Tandon School of Engineering, USA. [2020]

Given in honor of ECE Professor Dante Youla, this award is given to the graduate student who has made the most significant research contribution among all ECE graduate students.

NSF Travel Award for NeTS-ECI [2019]

Awarded travel grant for attending NSF Networking Technology and Systems Early-Career Investigators (NeTS-ECI) Workshop that aims to develop the early-career NeTS research community to address emerging challenges and pursue promising research opportunities in the domain of computer and information networking.

Athanasios Papoulis Award, Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, NYU Tandon School of Engineering, USA. [2018]

The Athanasios Papoulis Award is given in memory of late NYU ECE Professor Athanasios Papoulis to the ECE graduate student who has demonstrated excellence in assisting undergraduate classes in the past year. The selection is based on the student evaluation of teaching assistants at the end of each semester and the instructor feedback.

Ernst Weber Fellowship, Tandon School of Engineering, New York University, USA. [2016]

The Ernst Weber Fellowship is awarded by the department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Enginnering to select new entering graduate students in order to support their studies and research.

KAUST Fellowship Award, King Abdullah University of Science & Technology, Saudi Arabia. [2013]

The KAUST Fellowship (~70k USD / year) is a competitive grant awarded to graduate students admitted to the King Abdullah University of Science & Technology, Thuwal, Saudi Arabia. The Fellowship covers tuition, housing, relocation, travel, living and health insurance throughout the period of studies.

President's Gold Medal, National University of Sciences & Technology, Pakistan. [2014]

The President's Gold Medal is the highest academic honor awarded by the National University of Sciences & Technology, Pakistan, to the best performing student throughout the duration of the degree.

Regional Distinction (A Level Mathematics), Cambridge International Examinations. [2009]

The distinction is awarded to students achieving the highest percentile score in the subject among all candidates appearing from Islamabad.

Presidential Award for Academic Excellence, Government of Pakistan [2008]

The Presidential Award is a recognition of meritorious achievement in the O Level Cambridge International Examinations by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of Pakistan.

World Distinction (O Level Mathematics), Cambridge International Examinations. [2008]

The World Distinction is awarded for achieving the highest percentile score in a subject among all candidates appearing for the same subject throughout the world.
