Medical Image Understanding and Analysis 2025
Tuesday 15th July 2025
University of Leeds
We are pleased to announce the special session "Frontiers in Computational Pathology" at the Medical Image Understanding and Analysis (MIUA) 2025 conference, hosted at the University of Leeds on Tuesday 15th July 2025.
Computational pathology is at the forefront of AI-driven medical imaging research, revolutionising histopathological assessment and decision-making. This special session will bring together leading researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals to explore the latest innovations in histology image analysis, multimodal integration, and domain generalisation.
Discussions will focus on cutting-edge developments in deep learning and, foundation models, with an emphasis on translational impact and clinical adoption. By fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, this session aims to push the boundaries of computational pathology and improve patient care.
Join us in Leeds to engage with experts, share insights, and contribute to the future of AI in pathology!
We invite submissions in, but not limited to, the following areas:
Histology image classification
Semantic segmentation in histology images
Object detection in histology images
Whole Slide Image (WSI) analysis
AI-assisted diagnosis and prognosis
Biomarker discovery and validation
Survival analysis through WSIs
Gene expression prediction and analysis
Integration of computational pathology into clinical workflows
Personalised medicine through computational pathology
Generative AI in computational pathology
Novel algorithms for domain generalisation and robustness
Low-resource AI solutions for pathology
Algorithmic fairness and ethical considerations in pathology
Multimodal AI solutions
