Mithun earned his undergraduate degree from Begum Rokeya University Rangpur (BRUR), specializing in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He currently holds the position of Lab Instructor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at PrimeAsia University, Dhaka, beginning in November 2025. Prior to this role, he served as an Instructor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Mushuddi Engineering and Technology Institute (METI). In his current position, he is committed to shaping the minds of aspiring engineers and advancing the academic and intellectual development of students in the discipline. During his undergraduate studies, his thesis focused on enhancing the power-conversion efficiency of CIGS-based solar cells through an optimized back surface field. Since joining METI as an Instructor in 2023, his focus has shifted to the field of materials science. At present, his research centers on optoelectronics, including the modeling and simulation of thin-film solar cells, perovskite-based tandem solar cells, and density functional theory (DFT).
