The Keveldon secret nuclear bunker has an interesting history! It was built during the Cold War as a protected underground facility in case of a nuclear attack. It’s located in Essex, England and now serves as a museum. There are signs around the bunker saying pictures cannot be taken without buying a permit from the shop. It is worth a visit and very worthwhile and interesting, it does get cold the further down underground you go and there’s no phone signal.
It’s quite spooky in places, and feels freaky but we enjoyed exploring the history.
