Class Overview
This school year, we will embark on a journey through the world of language, literature, and communication. In my classes, students will develop essential reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills that are crucial for success in all academic areas and beyond. We will explore a diverse range of texts, from classic novels to contemporary articles, to deepen our understanding of different genres and perspectives. Through engaging discussions and creative writing projects, students will learn to express their ideas clearly and effectively. ELA is the foundation of all learning, as it empowers us to comprehend, analyze, and communicate the world around us. I am excited to guide you on this literary adventure and help you become confident and thoughtful communicators!
About Miss Reddinger
Hello there! My name is Miss Reddinger (but please, call me Miss Redd), and I will be your English Language Arts teacher this year!
I was born and raised in Clarion County, Pennsylvania and I am the oldest of four siblings. I have two younger sisters and two younger brothers. I graduated high school in 2009 from Keystone Jr. Sr. High School in Knox, PA. I graduated nursing school in 2017 at the Clarion County Career Center located in Shippenville, PA. I graduated from Pennsylvania Western University, Clarion campus, in May 2024 with my bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education, and a minor in Literature. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Curriculum, Design, and Teacher Leadership, along with a certificate in Instructional Technology.
Before deciding to pursue a career in education, I was in the medical field serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and Resident Care Coordinator (RCC). I moved to Beaver County, PA in March 2025 after accepting my first teaching job. Teaching has always been a passion of mine that I wanted to pursue, and I love it!
In my free time, I enjoy reading books, listening to music, cooking, hiking, kayaking, thrifting, cheering on my favorite teams (Steelers, Pirates, Penguins, of course) and spending quality time with my son, Rowan, and our dog, Maddie.
