Miss Lilys Acceptable Use Policy
This is a student, parent, and teacher contract stating what will be expected of all parties for a successful learning environment.
Students will be responsible to:
1. Attendance
- It is important to be present every day of school to ensure no important material is missed.
2. Classroom behavior
- Follow all regular classroom rules (in the classroom, throughout the school, and while using the internet)
3. Homework
- Complete all homework assigned and turn in on time.
4. Participation
- Be active while having class discussions and all activities.
5. Integrity
- Complete all assignments, honestly, to the teachers’ standards.
Internet Safety rules include:
1. Personal information
- Keep all personal information off the internet. This would include your name, address, or phone number.
2. Strangers
- Do not engage in any strangers met online.
3. Fact-checking:
- Be sure to not believe anything found on the internet without checking the source.
4. Privacy:
- Turn all privacy setting on for social media and other online profiles.
5. Reporting:
- Tell an adult if you see something that breaks the internet rules.
Online Dos and Don’ts
1. No unauthorized software.
2. Educational games/websites only.
3. Kind words only.
4. No copying others work for your own.
5. No Hacking computing systems.
Plagiarism and AI
Plagiarism is using someone’s work as your own without giving credit. AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. AI is a tool that generates any type of content and using it can be counted as plagiarism without giving credit.
Consequences
When breaking these rules, these are what the consequences can look like:
1. Verbal warnings
2. Loss of privileges
3. Time-outs
4. Involvement of parents
5. Positive reinforcements
