This course provides continued training and practice in composition. It employs examples of literary genres to help students develop their college-level writing competencies. Special emphasis is placed upon evaluating literary periods and their respective themes and styles through critical analysis and research. A 2500+-word research paper is required. Space in this course is limited and will be contingent on timely completion of prerequisites. Senior students will be provided the opportunity to receive College Credit through Joliet Junior College, in addition to high school credit.
