Welcome to Mission Off-Screen! Your family's privacy is our top priority. We designed Mission Off-Screen to help parents manage screen time, not to harvest data. This policy explains clearly how we handle your information and how we protect your child's privacy.

Mission Off-Screen (“the App”) respects user privacy and is designed to operate as a parental control tool. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal user data related to your child's screen activity or app usage habits.
The App uses the Android Accessibility Service API strictly to support core parental control functionality. Use of this service is initiated only after explicit parental consent via a prominent in-app disclosure.
Mission Enforcement: This service prevents app switching and blocks system navigation (Home, Back, and Recents buttons) during an active session to ensure the child remains focused on the mission.
Security: This service is only active when a parent-initiated "Mission" is in progress and is disabled immediately upon entering the correct Parent PIN.
To ensure the mission timer is accurate and cannot be killed by the device's battery management system, the App utilizes a Foreground Service.
Transparency: This service maintains a persistent notification so you always know when the app is active.
Purpose: It is used solely to track the mission duration and trigger the mission screen override at the precise time.
Our implementation of the Accessibility Service and Foreground Service is designed with strict privacy limitations. These services:
Do not monitor, read, or record user content, messages, or browser history.
Do not record keystrokes or behavioral data.
Do not collect or share any personal or sensitive data.
Zero Data Transmission: All data processed by these services remains strictly on your local device.
We use Firebase Authentication for secure account management. To minimize data sharing, we do not use third-party social logins (like Google or Apple).
Parent Account: We collect your email address and a password solely to create your account and synchronize your settings.
Child Profile: You provide a nickname and age to personalize the child’s experience.
Missions: Custom mission titles are stored in our secure database so you can reuse them later.
The App is intended for parents to manage their children's devices.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
All setup and data entry are performed by the parent.
We strictly do not sell any information related to you or your child.
Users may delete their account and all associated data at any time via the "Delete Account" button in Settings. This action permanently wipes your email, profile, and mission data from our Firebase servers.
We use Google Firebase solely for secure database hosting and authentication.
No Accessibility data is ever shared with Firebase or any other third party.
Firebase is used strictly for storing the account preferences you explicitly save.
