Adama Jobe, is a 21 year old model and beauty queen born and raised in the smiling coast of Africa, The Gambia West.
Adama, also known as Adu by family and friends began her journey into the pageant world in 2012 where after winning two national titles she went on to represent The Gambia in the Miss Ecowas 2012 pageant in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Two years ago, the West African model moved to the Netherlands to study and pursue a career in international Law as well as modeling on part-time basis. A year after her migration to the Netherlands, Adama won the crown and title Miss Africa Netherlands 2015/2016 in November 2015. She was soon after signed by a renowned Dutch modeling agency Models Rock Agency where she has worked successfully with brands such as L’Oreal and Vlisco. Adama has walked the runways of Amsterdam Fashion, Fashion Clash Festival, Paris Fashion Week etc. Miss Jobe is also the CEO and founder of the “Adama Jobe Foundation for Women and Children” (AJFWC), a charity foundation aimed at offering a helping hand to women and children in the areas of health, education as well as well being.
Adama Jobe is a strong believer in the power of positive thinking, the importance of diversity and the need for a bigger and fashion industry in Africa as a whole. Representing and portraying Africa’s beauty to the world is part of her agenda for the near future and she aims at inspiring African models to step out of their shells and shine for the world because they deserve a huge place in the global fashion industry.
Adama at the previous MFW Grand Finale that took place in Miami USA on the 10th of December 2016, won two titles: Miss Fashion Week International and also emerged as the overall winner to become Miss Fashion Week Universe.
