Hello Parents,

I have sent your child home with an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for our classroom this year! We have discussed a few our classroom rules and policies, and I hope you also discuss them with your child. An Acceptable Use Policy is not only useful in the classroom, but also at home. These policies teach children how to be responsible and safe when using technology. Although it is not necessary that you create an AUP for at home, it is recommended. This would allow your children to become well acquainted with technology and the rules that come it not only at school, but at home too.

Creating an Acceptable Use Policy for home doesn’t have to be complicated! I have provided you with a customizable template. In each section of the template, I have given a set of rules for your child and explained why they are important. Feel free to add or take away rules at you please.
