Misha (Michael) Schmalian 

Hi. I'm a postdoc at Imperial College London working with Steven Sivek.  I am primarily interested in 3-manifolds with a focus on hyperbolic geometry, Dehn surgery, and taut-foliations.

From 2022 to 2026 I completed a DPhil under the supervision of Marc Lackenby at the University of Oxford.  From 2018 to 2022 I earned a bachelor's and master's degree at the University of Cambridge, Trinity College. From 2011 to 2018, I attended the Helmholtz Gymnasium, Karlsruhe.
