Misfits was renewed for a fourth season on 16 December 2011. On 20 December 2011, Antonia Thomas announced via Twitter that she will not be returning for the fourth series: 'I won't be coming back for series 4 but I can't wait to see it! I've had an amazing time in Misfits- it has been epic!'.[3] On 20 December 2011, Iwan Rheon also announced through Facebook that he would not be returning for the fourth series.[4]

Simon, Kelly, Alisha and Curtis acquired new powers following their encounter with Seth; Simon can glimpse into the future, Kelly has complete knowledge of rocket science and mechanical systems, Alisha has a form of clairvoyance which allows her to see through the eyes of others and Curtis can change into a woman at will. Nathan is absent, having gone to Las Vegas in the hope that his new ability of magic will make him a millionaire. A young man on community service named Rudy, with the ability to split himself into two separate people based on the different aspects of his personality, meets the gang when he upsets a woman, causing her to use her power to freeze people within proximity in order to wreak havoc on Rudy. Rudy's actions accidentally put Simon, Kelly, Alisha and Curtis back into community service. Major subplots include Simon and Alisha's relationship, Simon's progressive transformation into his 'future self', Rudy's womanising and philandering, Curtis's experimentation as a female, Kelly's infatuation and eventual relationship with Seth, and Seth's obsessive search for a mysterious power. Additional minor plots include Simon being manipulated by a cartoonist with a time altering power and Alisha then pushing him to not become "the man in the mask". Someone with a time travel power fails to kill Hitler, resulting in the Nazis winning World War II, causing an alternate time stream where the misfits are a band of rebels. Rudy contracts a superpower made STD in the confusion of a club, going on a hunt to find the person responsible.

Misfits began airing in the US on Logo TV on 19 July 2012.[23] On 29 October 2012, Misfits started airing exclusively on Hulu for its American audience, immediately following the UK broadcast.[24] The Italian webseries "Freaks!" (the second season of which was also broadcast on television) has partially been inspired by Misfits; this is apparent in some episodes in which Misfits is quoted (there is also a scene set in England with actors dressed with community service suits).[citation needed]

If anything, "Misfits" is far closer to the superb "Chronicle" at taking a real world view of superhero and comic book ideas. Where that movie celebrated the comic book world, "Misfits" subverts it at every turn, which not only allows the show to be far, far more darkly comic; but also gives it the legs to support far beyond the first season. The pilot is effortlessly economic in particular, establishing the characters, but also seeding plotlines that only pay off in the last moments of the first series; and some that clearly set things up for series two, three, and beyond.

The show has also had to introduce three new characters this season. Losing Kelly, Simon and Alisha last season has meant the show has almost had to start again. It could have taken the opportunity to reinvent itself but it made the positive move to carry on with the same theme and style of show regardless of the cast change.

Over the two seasons, Simon has the biggest transformation. Mostly he transforms from a lonely nerd to a parkour-expert and generally shirtless badass. Still pale though! We, the melanin-challenged, can still be superheroes! Take note, world.

The first season of Heroes was really good! The key with a lot of US shows is to stop watching after the 1st season. Anyway, I really meant that the special effects in British shows are pretty cringeworthy sometimes.

Well, it's official. I am this show's bitch. I just finished the second season (six episodes) and the Christmas special episode, and then immediately hit the net to see if a third season was confirmed, and thank goodness it is. This is now easily tied with Sherlock for my favorite British show in recent years. I liked the first season, but the second one really blew me away with it's evolution of the characters and the scope of the show while still staying true to the quirky premise (five "young offenders" get superpowers).

Plus! I'm so glad of all the developments that happened with Alisha's character in particular, because she was pretty much a flat stereotype at the beginning of season one. And Simon! Oh, my intense love for him has only grown stronger. How can one character be so incredibly awkward, adorable, and badass at the same time? The show is just so well-written over all, it practically watches itself. Seriously, Heroes could learn a thing or two about tightly plotting super hero dramedies.

It will be interesting to see where the show goes from here, as they necessarily have to move away from the community service shtick now, which was the initial glue that held the gang together (although by now of course they function as a group on their own.)

One of my favorite things about the show is the out-of-the-box villains that appear. The milk guy? One of the freakiest things I've seen on recent television. And the shape shifting mouse? Pure gold. The humor can be pretty dark at times, and there's a fair amount of sex that is not always un-gratuitous, so Misfits isn't for the overly prudish. But it really is too good to pass up. Can we please have the third season now please?

Competing with an initial roster of top laner Alphari, jungler Wisdom, mid laner Selfie, AD carry Hans sama, and support IgNar, the Misfits roster brought a great deal of experience to the table, most notably Wisdom's 2015 World Championship runner-up finish. Little stood in the way of the team as they accumulated a 9-1 regular season record and rolled to an undefeated first place finish in the playoffs. This earned a berth in the 2017 Spring Promotion tournament, where Misfits defeated FC Schalke 04 in the final qualifying round after an opening loss to Origen.

For their first season in EU LCS Misfits were drawn into group A with the defending champions G2 Esports, Fnatic, Team ROCCAT, and Giants Gaming. They started great into the Spring Split going with a 7-1 record after 6 weeks but lost 4 of their remaining 5 matches going into playoffs. Although their strong start resulted in them still finishing their group in 2nd place they continued to struggle in playoffs, barely winning 3-2 against Splyce in the quarterfinals of playoffs. After being beaten comfortably by Group B winners Unicorns of Love in semifinals they were cleanly swept by Fnatic in third-place match.

During the offseason they signed Sencux and Mikyx from Splyce to replace PowerOfEvil and igNar who had left for North America and Korea, respectively.[2][3][4] Consistently decent performances in Spring Split led them to a 3-way-tie for 5th place with a 8-10 record in which they came out worst and outside of playoff position due to having the worst H2H record.

Despite a decent start into Summer Split Misfits quickly began to stumble again and started experimenting with their roster a bit. This lead to them releasing most of their main roster after week 5 to replace them with the successful academy team of Dan Dan, Kirei, LIDER, Neon and Hiiva. They showed inconsistent performances getting smashed in a few games but also dominating themselves sometimes. After two weeks of focusing on himself Hans Sama was subbed in again and also rookie support Doss got a chance to show himself. Even with all of these changes it was not enough to recover from the bad start so Misfits finished split and season in 9th place.

After their disastrous last season Misfits went with a new head coach Jandro and a new approach into the next year and built a team around Febiven. They kept Dan Dan in top lane and picked up rookies Razork in jungle and denyk as support from spanish ERL team Vodafone Giants. As bot laner Bvoy joined the team after a few years in LPL/LSPL before playing the last split in south america. After a bad start to Spring Split in week 1 against two admittedly good teams they managed to bounce back with two wins against weaker opponents in week 2 and went on a 7 game win streak to finish the first half tied for first. They could not keep this up though and after losing 4 of their last 5 games ended up dropping down to 5th place with a 10-8 record. This meant that they started playoffs in lower bracket without receiving a second chance but despite having a good first game against Rogue they were dominated for the rest of the series to end their split early. ff782bc1db
