I worked at a design studio in my school's New Media Department for a semester, and my task was to get three old Lulzbot 3D printers that had been sitting in a room for several years operational again. This was a daunting task for me because I was still relatively new to 3D printing, and had no experience with firmware issues. These printers tested my patience while I was figuring out how to troubleshoot them, but this is what helped make it a rewarding experience.
I do not have many pictures of the lab, but I did document all of the work I did on these printers in the embedded google doc below for myself and others to reference after my time in the lab was over.

Looking back on the experience, I do not think that most of the problems I encountered with these printers would be difficult for me to fix now. At the time however, I had no experience and nobody to ask for help. This project taught me how to figure things out, and that sometimes you have to break stuff before it gets better. In the end we had all 3 printers making good parts pretty consistency, so the project was a success.
