About Me

I am currently a cost engineer at ECS / A2Mac1, working on product cost and CO2 / sustainability analysis with a focus on the automotive electronics industry. Before that I worked as a Postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics and the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Garching Germany - near Munich, where I also obtained my Astronomy PhD. I did my Undergraduate and Master's degrees at the University of Toronto (see my academic CV).

I'm interested in galaxy evolution and combining multi-wavelength data sets to gain deeper insight into the Universe. My research so far has focused on AGN feedback in the local Universe (z<0.2), and compact / low power radio jets. I have also been involved in developing new instrumentation.

I'm additionally really excited about scientific outreach, primarily through public talks, workshops and observing sessions.
