What is a backup file?
A backup file is a copy of the data and settings stored on your device. It can be used to restore your device in case of a system failure, accidental deletion, or corruption. A backup file can be created using the original software of the Mio M400 or a third-party software such as iGO8. A backup file usually contains the following folders and files:
AppStartupSec.exe: The main executable file of the device.
Config: A folder that contains configuration files and settings.
Flash Disk: A folder that contains the map data and other files.
My Flash Disk: A folder that contains the user data and preferences.
Windows: A folder that contains the operating system files and drivers.
How to create a backup file?
To create a backup file, you need to connect your device to your computer using a USB cable. Then, you need to access the device's memory using Windows Explorer or any other file manager. You should see two drives: one named "Mio Device" and another named "Mio Flash Disk". You need to copy all the folders and files from both drives to a safe location on your computer.
