Mint Pitassy

Self-Portrait of Me In A Dream, Digital, 2023

Artist Statement:

What does it mean to be human? How do we define the human experience and inner mind? How can I express the constant noise inside my mind?

My work explores concepts of the human psyche, the human experience, the body, and abstract interpretations of moments from daily life. Using multiple styles, mediums, and modes of communication, I explore complex or darker narratives underneath playful exteriors. Each piece is personal and often stems from my life, spirituality, and connection to this world and its people. I leave my works open to interpretation, and the stories or narrative ideas I hear help to refresh and inform me how to push my future work further.
