Minoxidil 3-Week Review (Plus 3-Month Progress!)
Real Talk: Samosas, Sacrifices, and Small Wins
Three months ago, I decided to do something about my thinning hair. I picked up a bottle of minoxidil after hearing tons of mixed reviews online. Some said it worked wonders, others said it did nothing—but I figured I'd never know unless I tried it myself.
At the same time, I knew applying minoxidil alone wasn’t going to be enough. So, I made some personal changes:
❌ Stopped eating samosas (which I love, by the way)
❌ Cut out Pepsi – my go-to drink with snacks
✅ Started eating 2 boiled eggs every morning – for that protein boost
These changes weren’t easy, especially giving up samosas, but I wanted to give my hair the best chance to grow.
The first three weeks were... underwhelming. Actually, I noticed some extra hair fall, which freaked me out a little. But after doing some research, I found out this shedding is normal in the early stages—your weak hairs fall out to make room for stronger ones.
Fast forward to now (around 3 months in), and I can see real progress:
🟢 Thinner areas are starting to look fuller
🟢 New baby hairs are sprouting in bald spots
🟢 Overall, my hair looks healthier and stronger
It’s not a dramatic overnight change, but it’s definitely noticeable if you stick with the routine.
Here are my main takeaways from the journey so far:
💡 Minoxidil works—but it needs time and consistency
🍳 Diet matters more than we think—eggs for the win!
🧠 Be patient—results start showing around the 3-month mark
🧴 Use it twice daily and don’t skip days
If you're just starting out with minoxidil, don't expect magic in 3 weeks. But give it 3 months, clean up your diet a bit, and stick to the routine. Trust the process—you might be surprised at the results.
