From 14th of march to 13th of april we hosted another building challenge over on the brickonicle discord server. The task this time was to build a diorama for one or more Minionicle figures. Let's take a look at the entries!
Kopaka seems to have found his Kakama and is trying to master its mask power in this little diorama by Toa Fellha. In a sled beside him is Matoro, helping the Toa of Ice race down a hill in Ko-Wahi. The scene is compact with details, from the background tree to the sled. The sled has an interesting parts usage, from whips to a grill piece to the use of white plant element as snow shooting out from behind. Hopefully the Toa of Ice can master the Kakama soon enough to save the matoran!
Speaking of the Toa of Ice, it doesn't look good for Kopaka in this little lava scene by AngryRaptor13! Crossing lava with an ice boat cannot be the smartest move the Toa of Ice has ever done, and could have been fatal. Fortunatly, we know Kopaka survives this venture too. The scene is a small, fun depiction of Kopaka falling into lava, with some burning rocks and fires in the background.
This has to be the most iconic entry to this challenge, showing the arrival of Toa Tahu, as shown in the 2001 promo video. The scene is a 16x16 studs, showing the Toa of Fire in parts, ready to put himself back together. The canister has washed ashore and has some plants stuck to it and the lid lying beside it. The use of various colour shades in the plates gives the illusion of water retreating from the beach between the waves. The red colour from the Toa's mask and sword makes them stand out as key parts to this scene.
These two technically didn't follow the rules of the challenge, but we'll mention them regardless.
Epic Man created a small 8x8 beach scene showing his toa of water walking besides the ocean, the toa-figure being a nice assortment of robotic minifigure parts ranging from classic bionicle to hero factory.
Recreating Toa Tahu's iconic character spot of him lava-surfing, Pyro modified the base of the 2023 GWP set 'Tahu and Takua' to fit a Minionicle Tahu.
All in all, fun to see what people create with Minionicle and other Minifig Bionicle. It's inspiring to see the world of Bionicle coming together in Lego system format. Thanks to everyone who participated and keep building!
