I am Min-Ho Kim, who has been deeply engaged in the exploration of energy storage and conversion systems. I received B.S. degree in Energy Engineering and Material Science from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) in 2016. I then pursued graduate studies in Energy Engineering at UNIST under guidance of Prof. Hyun-Wook Lee, culminating in the completion of my Ph.D. degree in 2023. Throughout my doctoral research, my work focused on the synthesis of advanced energy materials and the elucidation of battery phenomena, which further strengthened my passion for pushing the boundaries of knowledge in this field.
Following my Ph.D., I have conducted postdoctoral research in Prof. Yuzhang Li's group at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). While in this group, I contributed to the development of innovative experimental tools for probing novel electrochemical phenomena and advancing material innovation.
Building on these experiences, I am pleased to share that I have been appointed as an Assistant Professor at Korea Institute of Energy Technology (KENTECH), a uniquely leading energy-specialized university founded as a national strategic initiative and actively supported by the government, regional authorities, and the city, with a mission to advance global energy innovation through an exceptional research environment and close industry collaboration, beginning in 2026.
Looking ahead, my research vision is to establish a science-driven framework for materials synthesis and electrode processing that contributes to the advancement of large-scale energy storage (ESS) industries, sustainable low-energy manufacturing industries, and battery operation under harsh conditions by translating fundamental discoveries into real-world industrial impact.
Future news and research updates will be available on the new website.
