If you want a heavy-duty, iron-built solution for hauling multiple bikes on an SUV or hatchback during car washing and outdoor adventures, choose Mingzhe Car Bike Carrier; if you need a specialized plastic hook to transport a child's small bike on the front of a cargo bike without dragging the wheel, choose splash n color SplashNColor 2. These two products solve completely different problems, yet they often appear in the same search results because both involve moving bicycles. I have analyzed the design sheets and material specifications for each to help you decide which one actually fits your current gear setup. Do not buy the Mingzhe if you ride a cargo bike with a low front rack, and do not buy the SplashNColor 2 if you are trying to strap three mountain bikes to the back of your family SUV. The confusion ends here.
• Mingzhe Car Bike Carrier: Built from high-quality iron with a massive load-bearing capacity for heavy use; the trade-off is that it is designed strictly for trunk/hitch-style mounting on cars like SUVs, not for cargo bike integration.
• Who should buy Mingzhe: Owners of SUVs, hatchbacks, or MPVs who need a durable, universal carrier for transporting adult-sized bikes to campsites or trails.
• Who should buy splash n color SplashNColor 2: Parents or cyclists using cargo bikes who need to transport a second, smaller bicycle (like a child's bike) securely without letting the wheels scrape the pavement.
The Mingzhe Car Bike Carrier is built for the rugged user who needs reliability over years of travel. Its primary selling point is the construction material: high-quality iron. This isn't a flimsy plastic accessory that might crack under stress; this is a unit designed to withstand extensive use while offering reliable performance. If you plan to carry heavy mountain bikes or e-bikes, the engineering behind this rack focuses on exceptional load capacity. You can rest assured that even the heaviest bikes will remain securely in place during travel, providing peace of mind on all your outdoor excursions.
Installation is another major factor for this product. Many carriers require complex tools or professional fitting, but the Mingzhe boasts a quick and convenient installation process. It saves you time and effort, allowing you to spend more time biking and less time wrestling with equipment. This ease of setup makes it particularly attractive for spontaneous trips where you just want to grab your gear and go. The design ensures versatility, fitting a wide range of vehicle types including SUVs, hatchbacks, and MPVs. Whether you are taking your bikes to a campsite, traveling to a new city, or heading out for sports adventures, this rack is engineered to work seamlessly with your car's rear structure.

However, this product is not for everyone. It is explicitly designed as a car tail bike rack. If you ride a cargo bike with a low front basket or a specific cargo frame, this iron carrier will not fit your needs. It is also not a modular add-on part; it is a standalone unit count of one. If you need to transport a small bike on top of another bike you are riding, this is not the tool for the job. It is a dedicated solution for moving multiple bikes from point A to point B using your passenger vehicle as the transport method. It is perfect for camping and outdoor sports, but it has no function beyond that specific use case.
The splash n color SplashNColor 2 serves a very niche but critical purpose for cargo bike enthusiasts. This is not a full rack; it is a 2-pack of bicycle transport hooks made from plastic. Its sole mission is to allow you to take a small bike that you cannot ride at the same time as your cargo bike. Instead of leaving the small bike at home, this hook holds it on your cargo bike for transport. It transforms your cargo bike into a dual-transport vessel, ensuring you can move both machines from home to your next stop without leaving either one behind.
The most clever feature here addresses a common physical problem: wheel drag. When carrying a small bike on a cargo bike with a lower front, a standard hook might let the wheel touch the ground. This creates resistance and damage. The shortened hook design keeps your small bike's wheel off the ground. Its shorter form puts ground clearance at the center of the job, so your small bike travels safely on your cargo bike rather than rolling against the road beneath it. This is a simple mechanical fix that solves a significant annoyance for families or commuters who rely on cargo bikes for daily logistics.
You must be prepared to do some prep work before buying. The item does not include any mounting hardware. You supply the mounting parts that your specific cargo bike calls for, so you must arrange what your setup needs before fitting the plastic part and loading the small bike for the trip. The package contains only the two hooks named in the title. They are designed to bring the small bike back too, giving it a return trip so your plans do not depend on someone else riding it home. This is a utility item for a specific geometry, not a general-purpose rack.

I would buy the Mingzhe Car Bike Carrier if my goal was to get my adult bikes to a trailhead or campsite using my family SUV. The iron construction and high load capacity offer a level of security that lighter materials simply cannot match for heavy-duty transport. However, if my goal is to wash my car while simultaneously planning a weekend bike trip, I know I need a solution that handles the weight and bulk of the bikes without damaging the vehicle. Conversely, if I were riding a cargo bike and needed to haul a toddler's bike along for the ride, the Mingzhe would be useless to me. In that specific scenario, the splash n color SplashNColor 2 is the only logical choice because of its specialized design to keep the wheel off the ground. Both products excel in their distinct lanes, but neither can cross over to replace the other.
