I've been trying to play Minecraft java edition on the most recent version (1.17 I believe?) but Minecraft won't even open. I decided to redownload the Minecraft launcher and it ALSO won't open, giving me the error of "Couldn't load launcher core from C:\users\----\downloads\game\launcher.dll: LoadErrorNotPresent" and then "Unable to start Minecraft Runtime Environment. This is most likely caused by corruption. Please try to reinstall Minecraft."

If you want to edit the behavior and other aspects of your entity, you need to use a code editor. The wizard will present you with an option to open the packs in Visual Studio Code, a code editor that is popular for addon development for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. You can learn how to set up Visual Studio Code for addon development under this link.

Minecraft Launcher Setup Wizard Download

After being unable to launch the Technic Launcher, I decided to try and uninstall it and reinstall it, but after deleting everything to do with it, and even deleting and uninstalling minecraft, it still hasn't been fully uninstalled, as clicking the download link on the webpage merely downloads the Launcher again instead of the Setup Wizard for the launcher. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Such a program is not needed and useless in this case. Those use the windows registry to scan for left over files. Technic does not use the registry.

Furthermore issues with the launcher not running at all is almost never a case for a reinstall. It is usually an issue with their Java install.

So I got a new computer and went to install Minecraft on it. I finished running the setup wizard, ran the launcher, and hit play once it finished downloading the game from the launcher. Instead of the game launching, this error popped up.

I have tried multiple things such as trying out other forges for 1.12.2, reinstalled minecraft, restarted my computer, and tried other ways of downloading forge. The forge is within the correct version of minecraft from what I can see and everything seems like it is correct however this keeps showing up. 1.7.10 forge works fine so I don't understand what the problem is. If anyone can help me out and knows what's going on it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me out with this. I am using the recommended version of forge by the way.

Curse/Overwolf: If you are using the Curse Launcher, their configurations break Forge's log settings, fortunately there is an easier workaround than I originally thought, this works even with Curse's installation of the Minecraft launcher as long as it is not launched THROUGH Twitch:

That log looks file, paste this into a file explorer window and tell me if it shows you a file or if it says there's no folder by that name:

%AppData%\.minecraft\versions\1.12.2-forge1.12.2-14.23.4.2705

After downloading your preferred version of the map, place it in your .minecraft/saves folder. If you do not know where to find your .minecraft folder, see the Troubleshooting page. Make sure the folder you are using is the folder that contains key files, like level.dat, and that it is not a folder within a folder. For additional assistance, search online for "Minecraft custom maps," or use this article by HowToGeek.

Remember that you can download the server JAR by navigating to the 1.16.3 profile in the launcher and clicking the Server button (see below).

Also don't forget to enable command blocks and flight.

Ran across this EXACT issue today. I ended up installing the freeware Revo Uninstaller and going through their wizard and deleting all registry entries, etc. and it removed it from Add Remove Programs. You can uninstall Revo afterwards. 006ab0faaa
