This Privacy Policy explains how MindSnap collects, processes, and protects personal data.
MindSnap is a vocabulary learning app that allows users to import or select vocabulary page images, automatically create flashcards, and practice vocabulary.

2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account Data
When registering, we collect:
• Email address (for login and password reset)
• Authentication credentials are securely processed by Supabase. MindSnap does not store passwords in plain text.
• Account creation date
2.2 App Content
MindSnap stores the following content you create:
• Vocabulary decks and cards (word pairs you create)
• Learning progress and statistics (correct/incorrect answers, learning sessions)
• Plan type (Free or Premium)
2.3 Images and Camera Access
MindSnap allows users to take a photo using their device camera or select an existing image from their device gallery.
Camera access is requested only when the user chooses the “Take Photo” feature. Users may decline camera permission and can continue using other app features, including selecting an image from the gallery or adding vocabulary manually.
Selected or captured images are temporarily accessed and processed for text recognition and vocabulary analysis.
Images may be securely transmitted to third-party cloud service providers used by MindSnap, such as Google services, for text recognition and vocabulary analysis.
MindSnap does not permanently store the original selected or captured images on its own servers. Images are processed only for the purpose of providing the requested scanning functionality.
2.4 Usage Data
We collect basic usage statistics:
• Number of learning attempts (today / last 7 days)
• Correct and incorrect answers per session
• Timestamps of learning activities

We use your data for the following purposes:
• Providing and improving app features
• Managing your user account
• Managing subscription status and entitlements
• Responding to support requests
• Ensuring technical functionality
4. Third-Party Services
4.1 Supabase (Backend & Database)
MindSnap uses Supabase for user authentication, data storage, and database functionality.

4.2 Google Cloud and Gemini Services
MindSnap uses Google Cloud and Gemini services for text recognition and vocabulary analysis of images selected or captured by users.
Images and extracted text may be securely transmitted to Google servers for processing. These services process the data to provide the requested vocabulary scanning functionality.

4.3 RevenueCat (Subscription Management)
MindSnap may use RevenueCat to manage Premium subscription status and entitlements.
Subscription purchases are processed through the Google Play Store.

Premium subscription purchases are made through the Google Play Store.
Payment processing is subject to Google’s privacy policy.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using services provided by Supabase.
Data transmissions are protected with encryption in transit where applicable.
Passwords are not stored in plain text.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

7. Minimum Age
MindSnap is intended for users aged 13 and above.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account, we will promptly delete it.
8. Data Deletion and Account Deletion
MindSnap provides a way for users to request deletion of their account and related data without needing to log back into the app.
8.1 How to Request Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your MindSnap account and related personal data at any time by emailing mindsnap.support@gmail.com.
Please send the request from the email address associated with your MindSnap account or include that email address in your message so we can identify the correct account.
You may use a subject line such as: Account Deletion Request.
This request can be made through our public privacy policy/contact page and does not require access to the app.
8.2 What We Delete
When your deletion request is verified and processed, we will delete or anonymize, as applicable, the personal data we control that is linked to your MindSnap account, including:
• Account profile information maintained by MindSnap
• Vocabulary decks, cards, and other learning content linked to your account
• Learning progress, session history, and related usage records linked to your account
• Other app data stored in our systems that is associated with your account
8.3 What May Be Retained
Certain limited information may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, or keep required financial and transaction records.
For example, subscription, billing, or transaction records may be retained by payment or platform providers such as Google Play or RevenueCat in accordance with their own legal and operational requirements.
8.4 Requests to Delete Specific Data Only
MindSnap does not currently provide a separate self-service feature that allows users to delete specific categories of app data without deleting the account.
If you have a privacy-related request about specific data, you may still contact mindsnap.support@gmail.com and we will review the request in accordance with applicable law.
8.5 Processing Time
Requested account deletion will be handled within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable law, unless legal or technical retention obligations apply.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Material changes may be communicated within the app.
The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document.
