Where Education meets Spirituality, Hormonal balance, Holistic lifestyle Coaching , Individualization & Alternative Movement Systems
 My name is Ashley,
I have been a coach and Trainer for 15 years working through a myriad of corporate gyms, UfC GYM; then began running my own business in May 2018. I always had an appreciation for intrinsic approaches in understanding the body in its entirety-perhaps because I grew up as an athlete entering into competitive track and field at the age of 12 and eventually running professionally from the age of 23 to 28. Health and Human performance was just always something fascinating to me. Understanding that we have a spirit as well as a consciousness is also something I grew up believing I am Cuban-American and grew up quite spiritual. When these aspects & their optimization began appearing in my training programs around year 7, I was grateful to find the Chek Institute in 2020- I am now a licensed Integrated Movement Specialist L3 &Holistic lifestyle Coach L3.
CHEK Practitioners don’t replace physios, PTs, or trainers. We integrate. We assess root causes not just symptoms & we build programs around you, not just a diagnosis.
This isn’t to diminish anyone’s work it’s to honor what’s possible.
You can ask for more. You can expect better Because no one should know your body better than YOU. By taking an inside out approach we incorporate the balance of hormones, the individualization of metabolism, the impact of poor posture and emotional intelligence to create a Holistic and forward moving approach to your well-being.
Did you know since 1989 the development of ligaments, joint capsules and other neurological tissues of children have been steadily and slowly decreasing by 40% ? making them more susceptible to injury during growth spurts, and athletics. Of course the environment has a lot to do with it such as 5G, the amount of traffic everywhere, the lack of quality of food/ nutrition everywhere and other environmental stressors we are not aware of
Being a youth athlete is pretty much a full-time job for kids and parents appropriate assessment of a child's posture and primal movement patterns is essential to any strength and conditioning program they may be part of. Team sports may not offer it that doesn't mean that it isn't important if we want to build strong athletes, we need to start with their foundation principles-kids are brilliant and if this is made important to them in the right way at the right time we would have less injuries through high school and more college dreams accomplished.
