If you want a budget-friendly option with massive battery endurance for long travel days, choose MINDBEAST Earbuds Noise Cancellation; if you need advanced hybrid noise cancellation technology and transparency mode for critical focus during work or transit, choose TOZO NC2.
• MINDBEAST Earbuds Noise Cancellation: Offers an impressive 180-hour total playtime and strong bass performance, but relies on passive sound isolation rather than active noise reduction algorithms. Best for travelers who prioritize battery life over deep silence.
• TOZO NC2: Delivers sophisticated hybrid active noise cancellation that targets low-frequency hums and includes a dedicated transparency mode, though its battery life per charge is shorter. Ideal for professionals needing to block out office chatter or commute noise while staying aware of announcements.
The MINDBEAST T98 is built for the user who values longevity above all else. Its standout feature is the sheer capacity of its power system. With a single charge lasting up to six hours and a charging case that provides five additional charges, you are looking at a staggering 180 hours of total listening time. This makes it an exceptional choice for anyone using USB C charging sleep headphones for zoom calls or music sessions that span multiple days without access to a wall outlet. If you are on a road trip or working remotely in a location with unreliable power, this battery architecture removes the anxiety of running out of juice mid-meeting.
In terms of audio delivery, these earbuds focus heavily on immersive bass and sound isolation. The design utilizes a dynamic driver with a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, which promises a rich listening experience for music lovers. The "noise cancellation" here functions primarily through physical design—specifically the rounded tips and the fit provided by three included ear tip sizes. This creates a seal that blocks roughly 90% of external noise passively. While it lacks the electronic processing of active systems, the result is a secure, comfortable fit that stays in place during workouts or commutes. The Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity ensures stable pairing across iPhones, Samsung devices, Android phones, and PCs, making it a versatile companion for daily use.

However, you should skip this model if your primary requirement is absolute silence in a noisy environment like an airplane cabin or a busy open-plan office. Without active noise cancellation circuitry, you will still hear the roar of an engine or the murmur of conversation, even if the seal is tight. Additionally, while the touch controls allow for easy management of music and calls, they do not offer the granular control found in more advanced apps. If you need to switch between listening modes instantly or require specific equalizer adjustments via software, the MINDBEAST T98 might feel too basic. It is a solid, no-frills device for those who just want to listen to their content for as long as possible without worrying about the charger.
The TOZO NC2 is engineered for the discerning listener who demands high-performance noise management. Unlike the passive approach of the competitor, this model employs a hybrid active noise cancellation system with three distinct layers. It uses an outward-facing microphone to detect external sounds and generate anti-noise waves, effectively canceling environmental noise by more than 35dB. Simultaneously, an inward-facing microphone monitors the sound inside the ear canal to catch any remaining noise, creating a dual-layer defense against distraction. This makes it one of the best in ear headphones for zoom calls when you are in a chaotic environment, as it actively suppresses the background din rather than just trying to block it physically.
A critical feature for modern users is the Transparency Mode. In many competitive scenarios, being completely cut off from the world can be dangerous or impractical. The TOZO NC2 allows you to hear announcements on airplanes or subway stations without removing your earbuds. This is paired with optical sensor technology that detects when the earbuds are in your ears and pauses playback automatically when you take them out. This real-time detection adds a layer of convenience that prevents accidental skips and saves battery life. Furthermore, the inclusion of Bluetooth 5.3 offers a more robust connection standard than older versions, ensuring lower latency and better stability for video conferencing and streaming.
You should consider this product if you value the ability to tune your acoustic environment precisely. The package includes six pairs of eartips (ranging from XS to XXL), suggesting a commitment to a perfect seal for various ear shapes, which enhances both comfort and noise isolation. The IPX6 waterproof rating also means it can withstand heavy sweat or rain, making it suitable for intense workouts. However, the trade-off lies in the battery usage. While the case provides a total of 42 hours of playtime, the single charge lasts about 10 hours, and using active noise cancellation consumes power more rapidly. If you plan to wear these for back-to-back meetings without a break, you may find yourself reaching for the USB-C cable sooner than with the MINDBEAST model. It is a premium tool for those who need to focus deeply but also stay connected to their surroundings when necessary.

After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the TOZO NC2 for my daily workflow. The hybrid active noise cancellation is a game-changer for productivity, especially when trying to maintain focus during zoom calls in less-than-quiet environments. The ability to toggle into Transparency Mode when needed adds a safety and convenience factor that passive isolation simply cannot match. While the MINDBEAST offers incredible battery life, the superior audio engineering and adaptive features of the TOZO make it the smarter investment for a professional setting where sound quality and clarity are paramount.
Yes, both models support call controls, but the TOZO NC2 is superior for noisy environments due to its hybrid active noise cancellation which filters out background hums more effectively than the passive isolation of the MINDBEAST.
The MINDBEAST wins decisively with a total of 180 hours of playtime compared to the TOZO NC2's 42 hours, making the MINDBEAST ideal for multi-day trips without access to power.
The TOZO NC2 supports app control for touch settings and potentially EQ adjustments, whereas the MINDBEAST relies on intuitive touch controls without requiring a dedicated application for basic operation.
The TOZO NC2 holds a slight edge with an IPX6 waterproof rating, offering better protection against heavy splashes and sweat compared to the IPX5 rating on the MINDBEAST model.
