Mimi lives on the inner Hebrides Island of Mull located just off the West coast of Scotland.
The musical journey began at the age of 5 learning violin with Mull Music Makers.
It wasn't long before Mimi was being asked to play for dances, ceilidhs, Christmas events, Burns nights and ... well anywhere really that required some live music.
Musical Interests are wide and varied with a keen interest in Scottish Traditional and some Classical.
Favourite bands at the moment are Fara and Blazin Fiddles. Mimi enjoys the Blazin' in Beauly workshop best of all and the opportunity to have lessons and tunes and late night sessions with her heros.
Mimi has attended many music workshops including an annual visit to Blazin in Beauly, attendance at the Feis in Acharacle, Feis in Ullapool, Feis in Oban, Nicola Benedetti in Dundee, Ian Lothian tune writing in Etrick Bridge, Fiddle workshops at Resipole, and on the Isle of Mull.
.... Then came covid and with it an opportunity to practice everyday at home develop a style and join the numerous Zoom workshops run by the FieFèisean nan Gàidheal, Scottish Youth camp and Blazoom in Beauly.
