In 1983, he graduated with honors from the medical faculty of the Kharkiv Medical Institute.

In 1995, he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of medical sciences on the topic "Clinical-pathogenetic bases of the effectiveness of magnetotherapy in hypertension" (specialty "Cardiology").

In 2016, he received the academic title of senior researcher in the specialty "Cardiology".

In 2015, he attended the cycle of specialization in dietetics at the department of gastroenterology, dietetics and endoscopy of the P.L. Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education,  received the corresponding certificate. In 2020, he received the second attestation category in dietetics.

In 2017, he passed the thematic improvement in physiotherapy in cardiology  (Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education)/

He worked in the arterial hypertension department first as a laboratory assistant with a higher education (1983-1988), then as a junior researcher (1988-1991), a researcher (1991-1996), and since 1996 as a senior researcher in the above department.

The main areas of work: problems of in-depth study of the pathogenetic links of hypertension, differentiated pharmacological and non- pharmacological treatment of patients with arterial hypertension in combination with metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus and obesity, taking into account the peculiarities of their nutrition character against the background of lifestyle modification.

Possesses methods of clinical, genetic, epidemiological, instrumental and dietary examination of patients. During his work, he proved himself as an erudite scientist, an educated doctor who enjoys the respect of coworkers and patients.

Takes an active part in the social life of the institute - a professional group leader of the department of arterial hypertension and kidney diseases. Secretary of the Society of Physicians of the Kharkov Medical Society, member of the Association of Cardiologists and Physicians of Functional Diagnostics of KhMS, member of the Ukrainian Association of Preventive Medicine, member of the Association of Dietitians of Ukraine. Member of the Academic Council of the Government Institution “L.T. Malaya Therapy National Institute of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”.

The Diploma of the Chairman of the October District Council of Kharkov, the Certificate of the Chairman of the October District Organization of the Ukrainian Health Workers' Union, the Gratitude of the Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Kharkiv Medical Society and Thanks to the Director of the Institute for the Day of Science.

Co-author of 422 publications, 2 rationalization proposals, 5 methodological recommendations, 12 declarative patents of Ukraine for a utility model, 3 certificates for a work of authorship and 1 information letter.
