Milena Mendonça
I am a Ph.D. in Economics at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), in Brazil.
My research lies at the intersection of labor economics, economics of education, and the economics of gender and race, with a particular focus on Brazil. I am interested in how structural shocks and public policies shape inequality across generations — especially for women, Black Brazilians, and low-income households.
I work primarily with Brazilian administrative and survey microdata (RAIS, Census, PNAD, SINASC, Censo Escolar), using Stata and R.
