The New York Mets have some of their top prospects on their High A affiliate team, the Brooklyn Cyclones; However, Brett Baty, the number five prospect for the New York Mets, have been on a roll lately, performing better than some of the other top prospects. Baty, who plays third base for the Brooklyn Cyclones, has driven in nine Rbi's and four home runs in his last ten games. In addition, Baty's batting average has skyrocketed since playing the Jersey Shore Blue Claws. Baty jumped from a batting average of 0.356 to 0.373. During the series against the Jersey Shore Blue Claws, Baty had a hit in all six of the games played against the blue claws and hit four home runs in the series. Baty also improved stat-wise with his slugging percentage and on-base plus slugging percentage. Both were among some of the best for ranked prospects. Baty also leads the High A East with his batting average and on-base plus slugging percentages. Brett has lots of potentials to become a big leaguer and is expected to play in the Major League by 2022. We here at MILB Hub believe that Brett could be playing with the Mets sooner if his stats stay up and if he performs well on the field and when bating.
