Luke Voit returned to the baseball diamond after an injury that forced him not to play since May of 2021 with the Yankees Double-A affiliate, the Somerset Patriots, this weekend. Luke, who played with the Scranton Wilkes Barre Railriders, the Yankees Triple-A affiliate, moved to finish his rehab assignment with the Somerset Patriots this past week. Luke Voit isn't the only Yankees player to be rehabbing this week. Luis Severino was rehabbing with the Yankees High-A affiliate, the Hudson Valley Renegades; however, he was forced to leave the game after developing a groin strain during the game against Brooklyn. The Yankees have announced that it would be another month until he could return to the Yankees team. Zach Britton is also looking to make his Major League return after making his fourth Minor League start against the Buffalo Bison in Trenton, New Jersey. All three of these players are expected to return to the Yankees in the following months; however, no set dates have been made for their returns yet.
