My name is Mila Kupenova, and I am a junior attending Valencia High School. Ever since I was a child, I was always interested in the arts, whether it be drawing, painting, or photography. I grew to love taking photos of views and flowers and was able to start capturing them on actual cameras last year. This was the start of a new era for me, photography. I love being able to capture minuscule moments of the world and nature.  To be able to see into the world of an ant or have the view of an eagle is amazing. In my art, I want to help others see sights/views they could not previously. I want to be able to share a piece of my life with others who may not be able to experience everything I can. It brings me such joy to be able to just simply "take a photo" and it can show people a different lifetime. Photographs are super powerful. They can remind people of old memories, bring around new feelings, and show something they have never seen before. It makes me feel so accomplished when I take a good photo and show others and they are in awe. Photography is truly such an impactful subject, anyone can see a photo and interpret it differently based on their experiences, and that is truly beautiful.
