Milad Armaghan
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Operations Research department at the Lyle School of Engineering, Southern Methodist University. I received my Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Naveen Jindal School of Management, The University of Texas at Dallas, where I was advised by Professor Metin Cakanyildirim and Professor Andrew Frazelle. I also have acquired my master of science in Supply Chain Management from the same school. After finishing my masters, I worked as a quality engineer for two years at ATCO Products Inc, Ferris, TX, who is a major supplier of AC tubing and components for leading truck and heavy-weight vehicle manufacturers such as Ford, Chrysler, Dynastar, etc.
Research
My research revolves around revenue management topics in emerging and understudied businesses. My research uses/develops empirical and analytical methods to formulate and solve the challenging problems such businesses face in practice. I am also interested in studying emerging business models from a sustainability viewpoint. My research methodologies include structural estimation, Optimization, and Stylized modeling.
