Mike lived the first few years of his life in Barclay Heights in Saugerties. He went to grade school at St. Joseph's in Kingston, moved to CT and attended a Catholic High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served his country as a radio repairman.
Following his time in the service, he went to college at Northeastern University in Boston and majored in Computer Science. During that time, he married his lovely wife Deborah. After college he was hired by IBM in Kingston where his father had worked for many years. After IBM Kingston closed, he worked in Poughkeepsie for many more years. He now works for ADP working on mainframes which are still manufactured in the Hudson Valley.
In 1993, he and his wife purchased a home in Saugerties, in the hamlet of Katsbaan, where they have lived ever since. They have three children; one at Saugerties High and two in college.
Mike has served his country and community as a US Marine, a School Board member, an AYSO soccer coach, an "IBM Engineers Week leader" and a volunteer Boy Scout leader.
